Another Malaysian Eatery to choose from at the Eastern Corridor of Melbourne!! Making the Eastern Suburbs the go to place for those missing Malaysian food! I had this confused with Alor Street in Huntingdale initially! The eatery looks new with efficient young staff! I am seriously impressed with the $10 lunch offerings! They are real as my husband tried their chicken rice! Good portion, but the chicken is not as smooth. Good price to fill the stomach! Their wat tan hor was not bad, the yit heh didn’t come through! The fish head meehoon was ok. Overall, a well priced Malaysian hawker style eatery. I am confident they will keep improving! Definitely worth revisits as there are so many dishes to explore and try for from with the can’t go wrong honest pricing.

A small shop with 5 "big" (for 4 persons or more) and 4 small (for 2 persons) tables inside, with a couple of tables outside. Simple, clean, order at counter, and self service with spoons / folks / chopsticks, water. Not a lot of choices but enough for a brunch with mainly noodles, few rice dishes, and few snacks, with reasonable prices half of which are $10 or less. We ordered a Pork Noodle soup (nice and in good portion), Curry Chicken Nasi Lemak (really big plate but the curry chicken not as good - the curry has not "enter" the meat), and Squid Tentacles (nice!). Lots of parking just at the front, but by 12pm on a Saturday, customers started queuing - be early, they open at 11am. Will go back to try the laksas and other noodles.

What an absolute gem! My multiple experiences at Jalan Alor have always been nothing short of fantastic. Conveniently located with ample parking, it's a breeze to access. The ambiance is inviting, feels family run with plenty of indoor seating and when the weather is delightful, the outdoor tables provide a perfect setting. Let's talk about the food - utterly authentic Malaysian cuisine that tantalises the taste buds with every bite. From the fragrant spices to the rich flavors, each dish is a masterpiece. The service is impeccable, with staff who are knowledgeable and friendly, adding to the overall delightful dining experience. Did I forget to mention, they have a breakfast menu on weekdays until 3pm with fantastic Malaysian classics from as little as $5.50! The rest of the menu still leaves me amazed as you can find multiple $10 meals which are still generously portioned! Highly recommended for anyone craving an authentic taste of Malaysia.

Authentic Sarawak laksa with lovely herbs fragrance mixed perfectly with the laksa soup! Must try Penang white laska, first time I tried this dish, surprised with the unique taste different with typ. Laska. Really love this!. Kolomee and char hor fan are above average. Price is affordable. Must try! Worth noting that no public holiday surcharge if you pay by cash! That's the way!
